you might say I know a thing or two about pregnant women
Having been one multiple times and working alongside mumma’s to be for 6 years now, I’d like to think I have a fair idea what pregnant women like (other than a pregnancy pillow and anything to keep the puffy ankles at bay that is!).
So here’s my top pick when it comes to gifts for pregnant women.
bola necklace
These beautiful pendants makes a soft chiming tone as it moves, sending soothing sounds to an unborn baby and helping to promote the unique love and bond between mum and baby. Originating from Mayan culture, where generations of women have worn them as a good luck charm during pregnancy. The pendant emits a gentle, harmonious tinkling sound as it moves, which is believed to help soothe your baby and promote bonding, throughout pregnancy and beyond.

umbilical cord ties
A fantastic alternative to the bulky, plastic cord clamps issued at the hospital. Cord ties are a virtually weightless and comfortable option and the best bit is they come in a huge range of colours and designs. Check out the range on Etsy here
photoshoot vouchers
The gift that lasts a lifetime! Photoshoot vouchers can be the best gift for expectant parents, so long as they don’t involve having to buy images or spend more to get their photos afterwards. A photoshoot voucher from Beau Baby Photography includes their session and all of their edited photos, so there’s nothing extra to pay at all. Have a look at the selection here.
beautiful mama and baby skincare
With oodles of love poured into every drop, these mother and baby skin saviours were thoughtfully created to transform self-care into a family affair. Find organic baby skincare ideal for gentle nourishment for little ones, plus pregnancy and maternity skincare including soothing pick-me-ups that allow mums and mums-to-be to indulge and treat their skin. https://tropicskincare.com/collections/mama-and-little-tropic
giant muslin swaddle
Honeslty one of my absolute favourite pieces of ‘kit’ was my scrumptiously soft Aden + Anais muslin swaddle. At a whopping 120cm x 120cm these swaddles are big enough to be super useful (think swaddle, standard muslin, small picnic blanket, breastfeeding cover, make shift change table, and even a sarong for a toddler!) but pack small enough to be able to keep in your bag.
