When you love Christmas as much as I do, I totally understand the desire for everythign to be ‘perfect’.
And part of that is having beautiful photos with YOU in them! This absolutely stunning location is the perfect backdrop to capture gorgeous seasonal family photos that you can gift, send on cards or simply keep for yourselves.
My own family have our photos taken every year at Christmas time so I can look back and see how my children have grown over the years, and what’s lovely is that becasue we are in them as a family we are seeing them creep in height closer and closer to our shoulders!
During these mini 20 minute sessions we will capture a selection of really special, beautiful photos in a fun & relaxed way.
Think laughing, playing and capturing pure joy….!
Still my popular light hearted style (yep – I won’t ask you to look at the camera!) & perfectly condensed in to a short 20 minute session.

what if it rains?
In all my years of running outdoor mini sessions I’ve only had to reschedule due to rain, once. In sayinf that is IS possible (it is the UK after all!). If the weather is dull/intermittent rain/drizzle we will go ahead and make the most of it – photos in the rain can be so much fun! But if the weather is forecast to be constant and/or heavy rain I will offer an alternative date.
what do we wear?
The key to making your photos look polished, yet natural is choosing clothes in the style you would normally wear. Make sure clothing is clean, comfortable and complimenting – this isn’t the session to force children in to formal clothes or Dad in to a shirt if thats not clothing they are comfortable in. They will feel (& look!) uncomfortable. Choose clothes in your usual style, in earthy/seasonal which compliment (as opposed to match) each other. It is worth noting that it is often very cold (& muddy!) so appropriate dress is absolutely necessary
how long do we have to wait for our photos?
I aim to get your edited photos across to you in an online gallery within 2 weeks for you to make your selections.
can we get more time?
Mini sessions run back to back for the duration of the day. It isn’t possible to bolt on more time. If you are worried about shy children, or that they may be reserved/worried please don’t worry. Arrive a little before you alloted time & allow them to get used to their surroundings. I’d also really encourage you to leave enough time to get ready and travel whilst staying calm – they will pick up on your stress and carry that in to the session.
what if my child/children wont participate?
Some children are naturally more reserved than others. I’m not about forcing children or bribing them – it doesn’t work, it makes them even more resistant and frankly it doesn’t sit well with me. Instead I iwll engage them in an activity they enjoy – that might be a simply cuddling you or it might ba a game of hide & seek or running around.
